Meeting of the Board of Directors

July 19, 2010

ATTENDEES

Shirley Saulsgiver, Bud Saulsgiver,

Nan Osbon, Brien Mill, Annette Smith

Meeting called to order by Annette Smith, Secretary at 6:05 pm

MINUTES:

There was a motion to approve last months minutes by Brian Mill with one correction; that Bud Saulsgiver was not at the June Meeting. This was seconded by Bud Saulsgiver, and it was so passed by the Board.

TREASURERS REPORT:

There was no treasurer’s report as Chad was not present.

BILLS:

There were no bills presented to be paid.

Shirley turned in $375.00 from t-shirt and hat sales.

OLD BUSINESS:

Shirley has the permit to sell hats and t-shirts on the Port on any weekend.  If anyone can do it, please contact her, as she has everything to do so.  We have a table and tent so you will be comfortable!  We can sell at the farmers market anytime, as well, and we do not need a permit since we are a non-profit.

ICE MACHINE:

There is a delay with the auger due to an accident at the plant.  It will not be here until July 30th

Brian may start working on the stairs this weekend, as the design was approved and permit granted by the city.

Mike Slover is working with the Port about the electrical hook up and what will be needed.

NEW BUSINESS:

Bud is looking into getting a grant to get the Ice Machine painted.  He will be discussing it with Joshua Greene and the Urban Renewal grant money.  Nan had a question about if we would need to come up with the money first, and then be reimbursed.  Bud will check with Joshua on this.

LABOR DAY FISH FRY:

We agreed to have it on Sunday, Sept 5th, from 11:00 until ??

We will get food to serve 300 people.

Meal:   Same as last year.  Tuna with a bun, corn, coleslaw, hotdog and buns.

Nan will check with McDonalds and A&W about getting a punch machine. If we get punch from them, we may be able to get ice from them as well.

Permits:  Nan will get these.  Annette will get a list and contact people to her.

Tent:  Nan will contact the Chamber and get the tent reserved.  We paid $200.00 last year for this.

BBQ:  Annette will contact PHH to borrow the BBQ.

Music:  Will check with Bill

Advertising:  Shirley will be responsible for this.

Tuna:  Bud will hopefully catch it.  If not, will get it from someone.

Corn:  Bud will check with Nelsons about getting it.

Hot Dogs:  Will check with Grocery Outlet.  If he donates hotdogs, we will buy buns from him.

Annette will check with Bill and see if he will talk with Mary about getting the other food from her.

We will not have a silent auction this year, as everyone feels that we will get a poor response for donations. If you know of anyone or a business from whom we can to get a few nice items to raffle, we will do that instead.

We will have the tide clock, Marylyn Monroe pictures, and hats and t-shirts to make some money on.

Annette will look through her notes from last year and see if anything else is needed.

There was a motion by Brian Mill, and seconded by Shirley Saulsgiver, to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 pm, and so passed by the Board.
